电导率法早期检测玉米和小麦种子活力

摘要:
为筛选稳定有效的电导率早期测定时间,以4个玉米品种(‘郑单958’,‘农大86’,‘农大87’和‘农大364’)和2个小麦品种(‘济麦22’和‘周麦18’)种子为材料,通过加速老化得到16个不同活力梯度的种子,分析不同浸种时间电导率值与种子活力梯度的相关性。并利用45个玉米品种及50个小麦品种种子对结果进行验证。结果表明,不同活力梯度的玉米和小麦种子浸种4、8、12、16、20和24 h的电导率值均与发芽势、发芽率和简易活力指数(SVI)呈显著负相关,其中‘农大364’浸种4 h的电导率值与SVI相关系数达-0.883。45个玉米品种浸种 4 h 电导率值与发芽势、发芽率和SVI呈显著负相关,相关系数可达-0.4~0.5;50个小麦品种浸种8 h电导率值仅与SVI呈显著负相关。浸种4 h后回干的玉米种子,其发芽势、发芽率、SVI与对照相比均无显著差异。综上所述,基于电导率的种子活力测定时间在玉米中可以缩短到4 h,在小麦中能否稳定缩短到8 h还需继续验证。

Study on early detection of seed vigor of maize and wheat seeds by conductivity method

Abstract:
In order to determine the early time of conductivity measurement that is significantly related to seed vigor, four maize varieties(‘Zhendan 958', ‘Nongda 86', ‘Nongda 87' and ‘Nongda 364')and two wheat varieties(‘Jimai 22' and ‘Zhoumai 18')were taken as study materials. These seeds were aged artificially and 16 materials with different vigor gradients were obtained. The relationship between conductivity values at different seed soaking times and seed vigor gradient was analyzed. The seeds from 45 maize varieties and 50 wheat varieties were used to verify the above correlation. The results showed that: The conductivity of seeds soaked for 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 h was negatively correlated with germination potential, germination percentage and simple vigor index(SVI)in maize seeds and wheat seeds with different vigor gradients. The correlation coefficients of conductivity of seed soaking for 4 h with SVI of ‘Nongda 364' was -0. 883. Among 45 maize varieties, there was stable negative correlation between conductivity of seed soaking for 4 h and germination potential, germination percentage and SVI, the correlation coefficients reached -0. 4-0. 5. Among 50 wheat varieties, there was only a negative correlation between the conductivity of seed soaking for 8 h with SVI. There was no significant difference in germination potential, germination percentage, and SVI between the maize seeds which were re-dried after seed soaking for 4 h and control. It was concluded the seed vigor determination based on conductivity can be shortened to 4 h in maize, and whether it can be stably shortened to 8 h in wheat still needs to be further verified.
