Abstract:
The experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of 3 years consecutive cultivation of Bt transgenic cotton on soil microbial community in field at two sites based on phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) profiles. Two transgenic Bt varieties (JM26,CCRI41) and one non-Bt cotton variety (JM7) were used in Yanhu district,Yuncheng site,JM26 and JM7 in Xiaxian county site .The results showed that the total microbial PLFA content were different in different stages, variety and years. The bacteria rate and ratio of Gram-positive and Gram-negative in transgenic cotton were lower than that in non-Bt cotton with consecutive cultivation. The microbial community was characterized by the predominance of fungi in the Bt cotton soil. The soil microbial community had been changed in the Bt cotton soil with consecutive cultivation compared with non-Bt cotton soil.
