| An analysis of a large amount of research revealed that lint yield of cotton has a significant positive association with that number of bolls per plant or bolls/m~2.The correlation coeficient r_p and r_g of bolls/plant,boll weight and lint percentage with lint yield are 0.7245, 0.3483,0.3911 and 0.6399,0.1794,0.3918;respectively.Path coeficient analysis(P)shows that bolls/plant contributes most to yield(P=0.7250), followed by boll weight(P=0.4606)and lint percentage(P=0.3245).
