| Three experiments were conducted.In the first trial,one hundred and four young pigs weaned at 45 days of age,at an average live- weight of 12.3 kg,were randomly allotted to thirteen dietary treat- ments.The experiment was designed as a 2 x 2 x 3 factorial,the fac- tors being DE concentrations(3.28 and 3.10 Mcal/kg),protein level(16 and 18%)and lysine level(0.84,0.96 and 1.08%)with a 20% protein diet,3.28 Mcal DE/kg,and 1.08% Lysine level as a control treatment.
