Multiple cropping in China has agelong history,and has been formed since Han dynasty(from 206 B.C.to 220 A.D.).For instance, in the remarkable works of Fan Sheng-zhi,who lived in first century B.C.,the author said,after millet is harvested,wheat is sown.
